Best Western Plus Hotel De’ Capuleti
Have you ever heard of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GTSC)?
It is an international body, created with the aim of promoting sustainability and social responsibility, within the tourism sector, based on compliance with pre-established criteria that can be summarised in the following key points: environmental sustainability, waste reduction and attention to local communities.
The Best Western Plus Hotel De’ Capuleti, located in Verona at Via del Pontiere 26, thanks to a concrete focus on this issue, is one of the very few hotels in the world certified according to GSTC standards, thus becoming to all intents and purposes an eco-sustainable hotel.
With this in mind, the actions and products promoted within it perfectly reflect that philosophy of sustainable tourism that translates into the adoption of multiple measures to protect the environment, people and local traditions: correct waste disposal, reduction of plastic, monitoring of energy consumption, etc..
We at Extreme Printing, being ISO 14001 certified (a standard that establishes environmental management requirements), also regularly train ourselves to renew our commitment to sustainability and put into practice the skills we have acquired through a proposal of visual communication solutions with low environmental impact (such as water-based technologies and eco-sustainable alternatives); and it is precisely for this reason that the Best Western Plus Hotel De’ Capuleti involved us for the development of its initiative.
Fully embracing the structure’s green vision, we designed some furnishing elements with eco-friendly materials, including the information trees, placed near the reception and points of interest, made of shaped honeycomb cardboard with a wooden base, and the dispa (100% recyclable support made of cellulose fibres) paintings placed in all the rooms and common areas to make tourists aware of the importance of adopting virtuous behaviour.
